Enhancing POS Operations at Benchmark International Arena
As the Assistant IT Manager at Benchmark International Arena, I’m excited to share the latest updates on how our team is driving innovation and improving operations across the building.
This season, we successfully deployed an additional 100 MyVenue POS systems, bringing our total to over 300 devices. This expansion strengthens our support capabilities and ensures our staff has the tools they need to operate efficiently.
We also conducted a review of our vending department and implemented new handheld Castle devices. By doing so, we were able to reclaim all tablets previously in use, providing additional hardware options and improving operational flexibility.
In preparation for the upcoming season, we’re designing entirely new POS-focused spaces, including upgraded self-checkout hardware. Additionally, we’ve upgraded our payment processors and devices to maintain PCI compliance and meet the highest security standards.
Looking ahead, Benchmark International Arena is in discussions to become a pilot location for exclusive new hardware and software solutions. This initiative will allow us to continue innovating and exploring new ways to enhance both staff efficiency and the guest experience.
Through these upgrades, we’re not just maintaining systems—we’re building smarter, more flexible, and more secure operations across the arena.
